Winter in the Berkshires is a solo exhibit of new works,  and some older ones as well. If you know my work, you know that I LOVE painting winter scenes, even on a hot July afternoon.  Most pieces are available for purchase and, if you would like to take a painting home with you for holiday gift-giving, that can easily be arranged. All sales are handled by the artist (not the hotel) , so please click HERE  to contact the artist.

There is a LOT going on between now and the end of the year.  I will be exhibiting in TWO venues sponsored by Pittsfield’s First Friday Artswalk….just in time for holiday gift giving (a little plug!)

October 2-27  – Your Castle in Watercolor
….. at Steven Valenti’s, 157 North Street, Pittsfield, Mass.
This exhibit will focus on commissioned work. I have a ton of house portraits and other commissioned pieces on display; there will be handouts, FREE bookmarks, and a special bonus for anyone who commits to a commission by October 31.  The reception is on Friday, October 5 from 5-8 pm. I’ll be there to explain everything and answer your questions.

November 1-December 31 – Winter in the Berkshires
…..at Hotel on North, 297 North Street, Pittsfield, Mass.
 I LOVE to paint winter scenes! There will  MANY never seen before paintings, even 2 Dalton scenes!!! The reception is on Friday, November 2, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Click HERE for a preview of the new pieces (soon).

December 16 –  Sunday, from 12 noon – 2 pm.  Hancock Shaker Village painting demo. I will be doing a 2 hr painting demo in the gift shop and will have plenty of little painted items available for stocking stuffers.

It is hard to believe this will be the 4th year! I have prepped the signs (well, recycled most) and filled my garage with treasures at pretty ridiculous prices….for one day only. After the sale many of the paintings get reframed and go to new gallery exhibits….so get em while they are HOT…and I did hear it may hit 94 degrees this weekend.

51 Park Restaurant and Tavern – 51 Park Street in Lee is featuring my Jazz Vision series throughout the restaurant for the entire summer…beginning May 1.  The originals are on display there and a bin of matted fine art reproductions of the paintings is now available at the Good Purpose Gallery at 40 Main Street in Lee.

Artful Mind Gallery – 22 Walker Street in Lenox – Opening May 1st. I am one of 17 artists exhibiting original paintings (and some repros in bins) from May 1 – August 31. Exhibits will be refreshed monthly. Gala opening reception is scheduled for June 23, 4-7 pm.  Monthly receptions will be scheduled. Open Tues – Sun 12n – 5pm; open Mondays by appointment.

Good Purpose Gallery – 40 Main Street in Lee – continues to carry a selection of matted fine art reproductions of my original watercolors, as well as cards. Attached to the Starving Artist Creperie…great place for lunch! Closed on Tuesdays.

Frelinghuysen Studio and Museum  – July 13 – Watercolor painting demo will take place outside the studio, starting at 11 am. Come get your free (with museum admission) lesson before enjoying a tour of this stunning museum and studio. This is my third summer here…hope to see you!

July 28-29 – Church on the Hill Fine Art and Craft Fair – I do this almost every year…it is a totally delightful show. ..Saturday and Sunday 10-4 or 5 ish. Rain or shine, no admittance fee. Come and Christmas shop…I do.

August 4 – Home Art Sale – at 46 Glory Drive, Pittsfield, 10-2 pm…Raindate: Aug 5. Tons of framed and unframed original watercolors and reproductions too. Look for the tents in my front yard!

August 10-12 – Berkshire Craft Fair, Monument Mt High School in Great Barrington – for the first time, a limited number of painters have been invited to exhibit…more details to come. This is a definite – I was juried IN!!!!

September – REST for a couple of weeks.

October – Pittsfield Artswalk – I will be exhibiting custom house portraits and other custom pieces at Steven Valenti’s in Pittsfield ..more details later.

November and December – solo exhibit at Hotel on North…Winter in the Berkshires … new works! Details later.

December – Homemade Holiday Show at the Stationary Factory – details later.

JAZZ VISIONS (16 original watercolors on canvas) is still on display at District on West Street in Pittsfield, Mass. Take a look….it will be coming down soon. Plus…THE FOOD IS GREAT!

Busy planning the 2018 exhibit schedule…there are a lot of things happening…but more on that later once dates have been finalized.

Late Fall/Early Winter Schedule 

October 6 – First Friday Artswalk– I will be part of the “Reunion” exhibit at NUArts Studios, 311 North Street, Pittsfield, 5-8 pm. Come by, visit and see what all the other artists are up to as well.

November 1 – 28  “Winter in the Berkshires”  at Wingate Residences / Gallery at Melbourne Place, 140 Melbourne Road, Pittsfield. Open for public viewing.

Winter exhibit  at District Kitchen and Bar, 40 West Street, Pittsfield – “Jazz Visions” will be on exhibit most of the winter, exact dates to be posted soon.

December 2 & 3 – Alchemy Initiative’s Annual Handmade Holiday Festival at the Stationary Factory in Dalton. I will have a booth and will bring lots of funky things for the holidays.
