In January 2020 I started a new group of paintings to add to the JAZZ VISIONS series, entitled “Ladies of Jazz”. One of the most talented and vibrant performers in the Berkshires today is Wanda Houston, who is pictured here performing at Mission on North Street in Pittsfield. While I was not present for this particular show, Brian Bissell very graciously has allowed me to use his wonderful video of Wanda singing “Crazy They Call Me” as reference for this painting. Do NOT miss Wanda if she is preforming nearby….she is a Berkshire treasure!
